In the scope of this year’s edition of art+film+vienna, Italian artist Francesca Paola Beltrame will present a new iteration of her cross-media workshop accompanying her film Pomo D’Orographies. In Pomo D’Orographies, Beltrame combines architectural, performative, and participatory methods to reveal the social, migration-related, and agro-economic dimensions surrounding the “Pomodoro” as a cultural and political symbol—often through shared, culinary-based formats around the “table” as a space for exchange and negotiation. In the public space in front of the cinema, Breitenseer Lichtspiele, participants and passersby are invited to reflect on and share personal culinary associations.

The workshop will be a performative version of the film accompanied by the live soundtrack by Fabio Cervi and field recording. Gathered around the tablecloth, we will foreground collective listening and identify already existing networks of solidarity.

Installed among hanging tablecloths and centered on the shared table, the performance recreates a domestic setting. The domestic is understood here not as private but as a charged space where familial, cultural, and political relations intersect. It is from this space of gathering that the performance asks the audience to locate themselves within the map it unfolds, situating their own bodies, habits, and responsibilities within the broader supply chain.
